Discover Keona's Device Tutoring
I am a one-woman business, serving local clients through scheduled in-person lessons, where I provide assistance with basic computer and cell-phone tasks such as texting, emailing, video calls and navigating online.
I provide individualized help for my students to gain independence as they navigate their own personal systems and settings. My strengths are my patience, teaching skills and a lifetime of experience from growing up in this new world of booming technology.
I am also designing and hosting local workshops to provide opportunities for students to learn in a group setting.

About Keona

My love for helping seniors learn how to use their devices began when I had a student job at the Bobcaygeon Library. Patrons often came in seeking help with their devices. While this was not in my job description, I am a problem-solver and was up to the task: so, I dove in. This evolved into me going out to help a couple of friends, and being paid in cash or meals. I was able to help a couple of grandmas connect with their grandkids who lived overseas and discovered my love for this type of teaching.
Keona's Device Tutoring is founded on a dream to see more interconnectedness within our community. I believe that technology gives us an unparalleled opportunity for closeness in a world where we are lonelier than ever before. We just need to take advantage of it in the correct ways.
I would love to give everyone the foundational skills and confidence to video call their grandkids, to send and receive photos and emails, to write that memoir, to start texting their pen-pal, to Christmas shop safely online, and achieve whatever goal is at your fingertips for technology to unlock.
